Okay, actually, I said that. It is just fun to wonder if people will ever put something from your blog in quotations someday.

Life is a series of apparently random surprises that appear bizarrely designed and yet contains purpose. This past week or two has had far too much in common with Super Mario levels. Remember the one where you are jumping from one thing to the next and as soon as you hit it than it falls out from under you? That is what life has felt like for a little while.

And that's bad when you are too busy to catch up with life. Because you feel like you cannot backtrack.

I feel like things are fairly good though, I have got friends and I am mostly caught up in school! (that's a plus) Biology might eat me alive this next week, which is as uncomfortable as it sounds. I finally have got myself situated in Interpersonal Communications, at least I hope!

It has been a fun past couple of days. I spent yesterday at the Chili Fest and all day today doing homework! Which I am still doing.

I got to see "Fame" the other day, great movie. Really made me think about how communication and art is connected. You can say so much through music and dance and theatre and you do not even really need words to do it. I think that's more pure communication, people being able to just understand and you not having to explain. Of course, it makes you wonder if people actually understand the same thing or not.

Ballroom Dancing!

So this might be a hint for those of you who are in my class and have to read this but I was just offered a payed position as a ballroom instructor here in town! I am incredibly excited, I've been dancing for about six years now and was really looking for a way to get better without spending a small fortune on lessons.

An instructor here in town offered to teach me for free as long as I would assist her with her beginning ballroom students! What an opportunity! It really is amazing how things can just pop up on you when you keep yourself open for them.

I saw Jim Carrey's movie "Yes Man" and thought it had an interesting point. If we learn to open ourselves to the opportunities around us it is amazing what might crawl out of the woodwork and change your life!

Each Day New

So I had not written on here since 2007, amazing how time flies. I've started new and fresh with a new template that I haven't edited yet. (the geek in me is screaming mutiny!) Changed my profile picture because it had people in it that I don't even remember. Deleted the about me (because I am certainly not still 16) and removed my interests because my favorite movies and books have certainly changed!

All things to do in the future.

But what a way to look at the past. In two years it seems like the world can change, I have been to Europe, I've been blessed with a new sister, I have gone to college for 1 1/2 years, I have at least determined a path for where I am going for the next few years. (never quite set in stone but very pleasant all the same)

Music has possessed my life and you would never hear me complain about that. My set of friends has changed almost entirely (if you are old hurray and if you are new hurray once more!) and I meet new people almost every day. I am working and attending school and trying to keep everything on track! It is certainly a challenge.

Sometimes it is hard to keep everything straight, what is my duty now? School? Family? Work? Everything is important! It is just difficult to do all the juggling and sometimes I don't do enough in one area or the other.

Well, I have to get up tomorrow but good to get my thoughts down on paper and start this whole blog thing!
